AI Visibility Score

The Human Aspect · Practical resources

Make your business easier to understand online.

A simple introduction to clearer content, consistent profiles and thoughtful monitoring of search and AI answers.

Start with clarity, not a score.

There is no measured visibility score on this page. These resources help you review your own information; they do not predict rankings, mentions or recommendations.

Four useful places to start

1. Explain your business

Describe who you help, what you offer and how people can contact you. Use specific examples that reflect your actual work.

2. Align your profiles

Check names, descriptions and website links across profiles you control. Keep different businesses or personal projects clearly distinguished.

3. Publish useful answers

Choose a real customer question. Give a clear answer, a practical example and an appropriate next step. Support factual claims with sources.

4. Review and correct

Record what you find, check the sources and correct outdated information on your own pages. Track follow-up observations.

A short explainer

Read the explainer script

When someone searches for your business, can they quickly understand who you are, what you offer and how to contact you?

That is a useful starting point for thinking about AI visibility. Instead of chasing a mysterious score, focus on making your public information clear, accurate and useful.

Start with your website. Explain your services in plain language. Give each main topic a clear home, and answer questions that your customers actually ask. A practical example is often more helpful than a page full of broad promises.

Next, check your business profiles. Use consistent names, descriptions and contact details. Link to the correct website and remove outdated information on platforms you control.

Then check the basics behind the pages. Can visitors use the site on a phone? Do the links work? Is important information available as readable text? Ask your website provider to help you check indexing and your sitemap.

Google says its usual SEO practices also apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode. There is no special AI markup required for those features. Other platforms have their own systems, so being visible in one place does not guarantee visibility everywhere.

Finally, review what people can find. Keep a record of the questions you test, the answers you receive and the sources linked. Treat each result as a snapshot, not a complete measurement of your reputation.

The aim is a clearer, more useful online presence. Start with one page, correct one inconsistency and publish one genuinely helpful answer.

Search and AI review log

THE HUMAN ASPECT | SEARCH AND AI VISIBILITY REVIEW LOG Copy this blank entry for each observation. Use public business information only. Date and time: Platform / model / search mode: Exact search phrase or prompt: Location / language / signed-in context, if relevant: Was the business mentioned? Yes / No: Was the website linked? Yes / No: URLs cited: Summary of response: Facts checked against reliable sources: Error or omission found: Evidence saved (screenshot or URL): Correction required: Action owner: Action completed on: Review date: Follow-up observation: SUGGESTED TEST QUESTIONS - What services does [business name] provide? Cite your sources and flag uncertainty. - Where can I find [business name]'s official contact details? - What does [business name] say about [specific service]? Link to the source. - Which businesses offer [service] in [location]? Explain the selection and cite sources. INTERPRETATION Repeat the same questions under comparable conditions. Results can vary between sessions, locations and platforms. Absence from one response does not establish that a site is unindexed. Do not present a small prompt sample as an overall ranking or reputation score. Measure relevant enquiries and website visits separately where possible. humanaspect.co.za | info@humanaspect.co.za

Try this over four weeks

  1. Week one: check your business details and choose three corrections.
  2. Week two: improve one service page and its related links.
  3. Week three: publish one useful article answering a customer question.
  4. Week four: repeat your recorded searches and review what changed.

What Google actually says

Google’s guidance says normal SEO practices also apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode. No special AI markup is required, and inclusion is not guaranteed. Other platforms operate differently.

Read Google’s guidance on AI features and your website

Does this guarantee that AI will recommend my business?
No. These activities improve the information you control. They cannot determine what a search engine or AI service chooses to show.
How should I use the review log?
Record exact questions, dates, sources and corrections. Treat results as observations from a limited sample, not an overall reputation score.
